Global Health Track

As pediatricians, we recognize that children across the world have multiple medical needs. While global health electives have become more common, residencies struggle with the integration of global health training. The global health track provides residents with training in international medical care as it relates to children’s health. This is accomplished through a series of electives that include education in epidemiology, research, tropical medicine, health problems of international travelers, cultural competency, and communication skills.

In addition, there are targeted educational opportunities in foreign countries and related research opportunities. Sustainability of care is integral to the success of this track.
